HOLY GRAIL NINE: 1965 silver/blk fuelie coupe, exceptionally rare for being one of the first side pipe cars, KO wheels and no radio. 2-owner survivor, original everything except for battery, some belts and hoses.

Ordered at Gateway Chevrolet, Gig Harbor, Washington by Theodore Somers of Bremerton, Washington January 9, 1965. Titled April 22, 1965. Sold by Somers to Roger Michael of Shelton, Washington September 25, 1980, 32,680 miles - other than to attend a Bend, Oregon NCRS event, for 42 years the car remained within 100 miles of delivering dealership. Maintained solely by Gateway mechanic Gary Michael (brother of Roger) from 1965 to 2007. Sold by Michael 2007, 38,444 miles. Original documents measure 5 ¾” high and weigh 16 pounds, including 1965 title, owner manual and POP, title renewals 1980-2007, letters, photos, Gateway Chevrolet sales/accounting journal from 1965 with entries for sale of car, price, discount, holdback, freight & handling, license and taxes, parts purchases, etc. Both sets original keys & number plugs & fobs.

When judged by Noland Adams at Bend, owner refused to push in the cigarette lighter or take the seat belts off of the clips, as the lighter had never been pushed in or the belts ever off of the clips. It was nevertheless awarded Top Flight with 97.3 points. Bloomington Gold Survivor award June 2008.
