HOLY GRAIL THREE: the single most desirable of 1967 435s is the color combination of black/red. Only six are known to have been built and verifiably documented; of those only two have their original motors. This one has the most extensive documentation of all, and the only Holy Grail in the collection that is restored (by the collection owner), made necessary after sitting unused in a home garage for 20+ years alongside children’s bicycles, garden implements, storage items, etc, and although still highly original the paint and body had suffered as a result, in addition to the original red interior having been sprayed black in 1982 (see pics).

0rdered for stock by salesman Ronnie Locke of Bob McDonald Chev-Olds in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Examined by Canadian National Railway employee Patrick Arthur Donovan in shipment of new GM vehicles on train in hump yard in Moncton, New Brunswick where train stopped for routine safety check on way to Halifax, December 23 1966. Donovan, of Moncton, purchased the car from McDonalds and Ronnie Locke on June 15/67 and registered it on New Brunswick plate 208125, insuring with The Western Assurance Company (policy #9140057) on June 21/67. Original documents extend to McDonald Bill of Sale, loan application, initial registration, insurance renewals, photos from day one, etc, Bill of Sale to 2^nd owner Robert Rowe, uncirculated McDonald key fob, keys still with stamped punch-outs, etc. All previous owners were contacted and spoken with at length. 25,034 original miles? Fully documented by GM Canada.
